Meaningful Use refers to the Medicare and Medicaid incentive program where financial incentives are given to Eligible Providers (EPs) who meet a number of thresholds. 
Meaningful Use stage 2 attestation has been pushed to 2016. This extension should give more Providers and software company a little more time to prepare for Meaningful Use Stage 3.
Yet there are many issues to consider as having a certified software under meaningful use stage 1 doesn’t warranty they will be certified under stage 2 and/or stage 3. Even more daunting is the fact that the certification requirements for Stage 3 have not been released yet.
Last but not least, remember that audits are the future.
